Zoltán Kőrössy

Zoltán Kőrössy graduated from KVIF in 1994, and in 2004 he earned an MBA from Oxford Brookes University. In 1992, while still in college, he and his partners founded the predecessor of the Eventrend Group as a limited partnership, so Eventrend truly started as a garage company. Its growth was characterized by constant innovation and the continuous reinvestment of profits; external investors were never part of the company. Until 1998, the company focused solely on event management under the brand name Gála Party Service. In that year, the foundation of additional businesses began, first in the field of event management, with the creation of Bonus Party Service and Sensation Event agency. In 1999, the group began operating in the restaurant sector, which developed dynamically until 2015, when the hotel management business was integrated, forming Eventrend’s current three-service structure: gastronomy, events, and hotels.

Zoltán Kőrössy works alongside his partners and senior colleagues, many of whom he has collaborated with for over twenty years, and his successes are inseparable from the strength of his team.

By 2022, the group comprised 35 companies in hotel and restaurant services as well as event management. The restaurant portfolio stands out, featuring many must-visit locations in Budapest, including New York Café, Gundel Restaurant, Centrál Café, Spoon the Boat, Főőrség Café, Evezős Beer Garden, Cziniel Confectionery, Bohém Restaurant, P’Art Café and Bistro, Salon Restaurant Budapest, Séf Asztala, Fakanál Restaurant and Bistro, Városliget Restaurant and Café, Tóterasz, Gólvonal Bistro, Parlament Café, High Spirits Bar, British Petrol Café, Duna Arena Café, Hajós Alfréd National Swimming Pool (buffets), as well as Bistro na Snezce – Pec pod Snezkou.

At the same time, Eventrend, led by Zoltán Kőrössy and his colleagues, is one of Hungary’s leading event service providers, organizing more than 5,000 events annually. Key venues include Akadémia Klub, Anantara New York Palace Hotel, Gundel Event and Catering, Bagolyvár Restaurant, Symbol Budapest, Spoon the Boat, MÜPA, Papp László Budapest Sports Arena, Zichy Event Park, Csillagkert Event Center, Városliget Ice Rink, Groupama Arena, Royal Riding Hall, Duna Arena, and Hajós Alfréd National Swimming Pool.

Zoltán Kőrössy is a father of three, an animal lover, and an avid sports fan. He is also actively involved in motivating younger generations, regularly speaking at various educational institutions, and within Eventrend operates his own leadership school. In recent years, together with co-founder Gábor Nagy, he was selected among the fifty most influential figures in tourism.
