Rudolf Semsei

Rudolf Semsei is the owner and CEO of the Budapest Party Service group, founded in 2003. Initially, he became known as an event service provider, and over the past ten years, expanding the gastronomic palette, he has opened an increasing number of exciting hospitality venues. As a restaurant master, vice president of the Hungarian Hospitality Association, and head of the Gastronomy Division of Event Organizers and Service Providers in Hungary, his principle is that this work is, in the fullest sense of the word, service: you can only be truly good at it if you perform it with faith and wholehearted dedication. In addition to empathetic thinking, economic sense is essential for success.

Rudolf Semsei is a father of four, a leader responsible for his company, and above all, a community-oriented person, to whom every task finds its way. Or does he find them? For example, he is the president of an association that, as a civil initiative, maintains and operates a kindergarten caring for and educating 129 children.

Conscious and effective planning is an important consideration for him. His work is his passion: among professional and friendly circles, he enjoys talking about the ever-evolving technologies of hospitality, the exciting and dynamic world of events, and the daily life of a restaurant kitchen. In operating the Öbölház Event Center, the Paulay Hall, the Corner Event Center, the four VakVarjú restaurants, Mákvirág, the Bodza Bistro self-service restaurant, and the Vakegér Stock Pub, he primarily sees the challenge that presents him and his colleagues with new tasks every day—sometimes with unexpected turns. He likes to combine the virtues of the old with the freshest ideas: traditional values with the constant desire to innovate. He seeks colleagues and collaborators who share this dynamic yet well-founded mindset. He knows well that at every level of responsibility, a steady hand is required: there can be no “Restaurant of the Year” award without satisfied guests, and no satisfied guests without a well-cooperating team.
