Thomas Keller

The name Thomas Keller is synonymous with quality and excellence. The chef and owner has created restaurants that set a new paradigm within the hospitality industry. He is the first and only American-born chef to have earned multiple three-star ratings from the prestigious Michelin Guide – for The French Laundry and Per Se – in addition to receiving a star for The Surf Club restaurant. He became the most honored American chef by Michelin. He is the first American male chef to be appointed Commander of the French Legion of Honor, France’s highest distinction. Chef Keller has received numerous accolades, including The Culinary Institute of America’s “Chef of the Year” award, the James Beard Foundation’s “Outstanding Chef” and “Outstanding Restaurateur” awards, and the Michelin Guide Chef Mentor award. He holds an honorary doctorate in culinary arts from The Culinary Institute of America. Chef Keller led an American team to its first gold medal at the Bocuse d’Or in 2017, the prestigious biennial competition. More than 1.5 million copies of his six cookbooks have been sold, including the recently published The French Laundry and Per Se books.
