Dorottya moved to Budapest in 2014 after being admitted to the Budapest University of Economics, majoring in tourism and hospitality. During her studies she had the opportunity to become more familiar with the world of Hungarian gastronomy, as thanks to Mihály Nagy and Dr. Dénes Sándor she was able to participate not only in the Chaine des Rôtisseurs cooking competition as a server, where in the following years she took on a permanent role in organizing the competition, but she also belonged to those fortunate servers who could witness a historic moment when in 2017 Tamás Széll and his team stood on the top of the podium at the European finals of the Bocuse d’Or held in Budapest.
She completed her internship in Davos, Switzerland, and afterwards her first serious workplace was the one Michelin-starred Onyx Restaurant from September 2016, where she met her husband, Bence Dalnoki. They continued their path together in 2017, when their professional careers led them to the Kistücsök restaurant, where for a season they were able to get a taste of truly high-level Balaton hospitality.
After their detour to Lake Balaton they continued at Stand25 Bistro, and later Dorottya worked as a key member of the opening team of Stand Restaurant until December 2019. Thanks to the guidance and support of Ibolya Csahók, she gained valuable experience in every area of restaurant management. She mastered the impeccable service of guests, ensuring that from their arrival to their departure every tiny detail received exceptional attention. In December 2019 Stand25 Bistro moved to Buda, and from then on Dorottya has been working as the manager of the Buda establishment. Maintaining consistent quality is especially important to her, and she is delighted by the satisfaction of returning as well as foreign guests. With its Hungarian flavors and uncompromising approach to ingredients, Stand25 Bistro is deservedly one of the most popular highlights of Budapest’s gastronomy.
