Szabina Szulló

Szabina Szulló’s career began in the 1990s at the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus, which at the time operated one of Hungary’s best restaurants. There she met Hamvas Zoltán and Széll Tamás, with whom she continues to work closely. Together they conceived the concept for the Onyx Restaurant, which later earned a Michelin star. In 2017, they opened their first bistro, Stand25, originally located at the Hold Street Market in Budapest, and in 2019 the restaurant was relocated to Buda. The bistro earned a Michelin Plate in 2022.

Meanwhile, in the summer of 2018, they opened their first fine dining restaurant in Budapest, the Stand Restaurant. Within just one year, the restaurant received its first Michelin star, and in 2022 it earned its second.

In 2016, she served as the head of the Hungarian team that won the Bocuse d’Or Europe, and in 2022 she again led the team that won the silver medal at Bocuse d’Or Europe.

Traditional Hungarian cuisine is a particularly important source of inspiration for her, influenced by the dishes she tasted in her childhood prepared by her mother and grandmother.

In her free time, Szabina participates in agility competitions with her dog, where they both greatly enjoy the shared challenges.
